Off road race buggies
Hen parties at Avalanche Adventure give you the opportunity to zoom around the track in our tough Gemini Off Road racing buggies with their 400cc engines. These come complete with an automatic transmission and a full roll cage and all-round suspension. These off road buggies are very simple to drive. All you have to do is to press down your right foot on the juice and just GO GO GO! While you are zooming away, don’t forget to stop occasionally by pressing down your left foot.
Off road buggies are low on weight and have a high adventure and fun quotient. It is a small motoring machine and is a multi terrain vehicle making it comfortable to drive on tarmac and mud tracks.
Amphibious vehicle driving
Now, you can experience what it’s like to drive a military-style amphibious vehicle at the hen parties! At Avalanche Adventure, we provide you with the chance to manoeuvre an eight wheeled skid steer Argocat around our man–made all terrain course. Here you get to compete against your fellow hens on a time-trail event or simply try to make your way up and down the steep slopes of our course, across deep waters and through the slippery obstacle tracks.
It will be like nothing you’ve ever driven before!
Clay pigeon shooting
Another fun activity that is a part of hen parties that we offer here at Avalanche Adventure is clay pigeon shooting. Clay pigeon shooting has been a part of Britain’s history for over 100 years now. It became a popular sport as it helped refine the shooting skills of a huntsman and the targets used are pigeons made out of clay.
This event is perfect for exhilarating hen parties as they are a perfect blend of adventure and fun. At Avalanche Adventure, we have our own Sporting Layout Automatic Traps with highly experienced and qualified instructors who are bound to add to the overall quality of your experience with us. We will teach you how to get a hang of it before you can step out and shoot a clay pigeon.
Archery has been used for hunting and combat purposes but these days it has gained popularity as a sport and hobby. Plus, it is the perfect addition to all the activities that are a part of hen parties at Avalanche Adventure. Our 15 metre outdoor range is specially designed for practice purposes using bows with a draw weight ranging from 12 to 22 pounds.
At Avalanche Adventure, we provide both left and right handed bows and our dedicated team of qualified instructors provide essential archery instruction for beginners all the way to more advanced participants.
Blindfold driving is a great activity for hen parties and it requires skill, teamwork, communication and most of all, patience. Blindfold driving is a challenging yet fun activity for a minimum of 4 people. It is perfect to improve the flow of communication. We use our Land Rover Defenders and the driver sets it in to second gear and just leaves the Land Rover to drive itself without using the accelerator, clutch or brake except towards the end of the lap.
One member of the driving party is blindfolded; the other member has to navigate the driver around our course using clear and direct instructions. You’d be amazed to see how quickly people forget their lefts and rights! Our instructors allow each member of the team to practice and then they are timed on their last lap. The one with the fastest time wins.
